This blackened spice rub is really tasty, try it out from our article on homemade spice blends. You probably have the majority of the spices in your cupboard already. I am not a huge fan of buying the pre-blended spice mixes because we already have the spices we need to create them. If I bought a new spice blend every time I wanted to makes something my spice rack would be out of control.

- Gather all of your ingredients and measuring tools
- Mix together the blackened chicken seasoning
- Using 1 teaspoon of seasoning sprinkle the top and bottom of each chicken.
- Rub 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning under the skin.

- Heat grill to 350° F
- Place chicken breasts skin side up over indirect heat for 45 minutes.
- Using a instant read thermometer check to see if chicken is 165° F if it is not continue to cook until this temperature is reached.
