Broccoli Turkey Sausage with Pasta

If you love broccoli and pasta then this dish is a must try. I personally prefer cooking with wine because it adds more flavor and makes the dish more interesting. I also prefer spicy turkey sausage.

  1. Bring pot of water to boil and cook 4 cups of orecchiette pasta
  2. Place skillet on medium heat and add turkey sausage along with onion then sauté until meat is fully cooked (165°) breaking turkey into small pieces. 
  3. Drain then add garlic to the skillet for 1 minute. 
  4. Add 1 cup of wine or chicken broth, 2 teaspoons italian seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper then continue cooking for 2 minutes.
  5. Add broccoli and tomatoes reduce heat to medium low, cover for 4 minutes. 
  6. Add cooked pasta and 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, mix well.
  7. Top with 1/3 cup parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
